Together may we give children roots to grow and wings to fly.
Our aim is to give all children a learning environment and sense of belonging which supports and stimulates curiosity, confidence and learning. We work in partnership with parents and the community to develop resilient, independent and enthusiastic children who learn to their full potential.
“Every child has the right to high quality early education and care” Julian Grenier
Children are welcomed into the EYFS class at the start of their journey gaining skills, knowledge and a positive attitude towards lifelong learning. We understand that it is vital to provide an appropriate curriculum that supports the individual needs of every child, thus the curriculum is tailored to enable all children to have high quality learning experience. We pride ourselves that the curriculum is ambitious, planned and sequenced with children being able to develop their unique place in our wider community. We recognise the crucial role that Early Years education has to play in providing firm foundations upon which the rest of a child’s education is based.
The principles that guide the work in EYFS are grouped into themes;
- A unique child
- Positive relationships
- Enabling environment
- Learning and development
The curriculum consists of seven areas of learning and development;
- Personal, social, and emotional development
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Mathematics
- Literacy
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
